Peter Roussak advises clients on corporate and commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, securities compliance, intellectual property, and general counsel matters. His practice draws on more than 40 years of experience across private law firm practice, in-house legal and executive roles, and co-founding several operating companies.
Peter began his career at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and Irell & Manella in Los Angeles, where he practiced corporate securities and M&A law representing private equity clients including Leonard Green & Partners and Investcorp and companies such as Jack-in-the-Box. He subsequently served as SVP and General Counsel of Thrifty PayLess, Inc., a $4.5 billion retail chain, where he led the company’s $1.2 billion sale to Payless Drugs. As co-founder, Managing Director, and General Counsel of Mandeville Partners, a Los Angeles-based merchant bank, he led a consolidation of the Argentine cable television industry — completing 65 acquisitions with $500 million in combined financing. He has co-founded and served in general counsel and other executive roles at location-based entertainment companies with activities in the US and China. He serves as general counsel of Interlink Electronics (NASDAQ: LINK), where he handles M&A, capital markets, and commercial transactions. He also currently serves as EVP of IP Securitized LLC, which provides consulting in connection with litigation funding and IP monetization in addition to structured finance, real estate and investment banking advisory.
